Basically, I bring my equipment the your location, which includes my computer, interface, cables, stands and microphones, set it all up and capture the best possible recording for the space your in.
For the most part, as long as you record in a quiet space, the recording will be fine. The sensitivity and pick-up direction of a microphone can be fine-tuned to reduce unwanted sounds (bleed) and various digital tools and filters can be used in the mixing process.
I would arrive at the predetermined time and set-up, which takes about 15 minute for a stereo recording of a piano. Then the session would start and we would do an hour of recording. After the session ends we would work out the details of delivery. You can choose to receive the raw WAV files and have someone else do the mixing/mastering or you can have me do it. I will have a quote for that service ready by the end of the session.

Yes, lesson rates can be prorated for a number of reasons. The minimum is $15 and the max is currently $50. Half hour lessons are also available.
This is just a free 30 minute zoom meeting (or over the phone) where we can get an idea of what your musical needs are. I expect to answer a lot of questions but if you have something you'd like to work on that is fine. Think of it as a chance to audition me. I offer a lot of other services and we can discuss any of those needs as well.
